pynbody.halo.portable.properties_to_portable_state(properties: dict) → dict[source]#

Express a dictionary of halo properties using only numpy arrays and python primitives.

Properties which cannot be expressed in this way are omitted, with a warning. The result can be turned back into a properties dictionary by properties_from_portable_state().
